  2. Your Agreement. By using or engaging with the Services you agree to this document and our Terms Of Use. Personal Information.

  3. Personal Information. Personal information generally refers to any information that may identify you. The type of information we will collect varies based on the Services you access and may include your name, date of birth, login and payment information, postal address, email address, phone number, information about your location, your travel and trip information and experiences and other relevant information.

  4. Categories of Personal Information. We Collect. We collect the following categories of personal information when you use Tinery:
    (a) Contact Info — Name and email address, used to create and access your account.

    (b) Identifiers — TINERY generates a unique user identifier so that your data is linked to your account and your subscription status can be synced across devices.

    (c) User Content and Communications — Trip itineraries, destinations, dates, preferences, notes, favourites and any other content you create within the Services. Additionally, if you use our collaboration or communication features (such as Direct Messages, group chats, or photo sharing), we collect and store the messages, photos, and other communications you transmit through the app.

    (d) Search History — Destinations and search queries you enter when looking for places, accommodations or activities.

    (e) Location — City- or region-level location associated with the destinations you choose. We do not collect precise GPS locations.

    (f) Purchases — Your subscription tier and purchase history. We do not store credit-card numbers; payments are processed by Apple (see “In-App Purchases and Subscriptions” below).

    (g) Usage Data — Anonymized product-interaction events such as feature taps and screen views, used to improve the app.

    (h) Diagnostics — Crash logs and performance data, collected solely for stability and bug-fixing and not linked to your identity.

    (i) Sensitive Information - We do not collect health, biometric, government ID, racial or ethnic, religious, sexual orientation, or precise
    geolocation data.

  1. Why We Collect Personal Information. We collect personal information:

(a) to provide Services;
(b) to facilitate payment for Services and collection of fees;

(c) to stay in touch with you periodically and keep you informed of our Services;
(d) for research, business development and marketing purposes;
(e) and where required or permitted by law.

  1. How We Use Your Information. In addition to the purposes listed above, we use the information we collect to: generate personalized AI-assisted itineraries when you request them; manage your subscription and entitlements; provide customer support; detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse or security incidents; comply with legal obligations; and analyze and improve the Services in aggregated or de-identified form.

  2. Consent. We obtain consent in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We will assume that you consent to the use your personal information in accordance with this document, unless you advise otherwise.

  3. User-Generated Content and Moderation — To ensure a safe platform in accordance with our zero-tolerance policy for abusive behavior, we utilize a combination of automated filters (e.g., profanity and image recognition) and human review to detect harmful or objectionable material. If a user reports a specific message, chat thread, or profile for a policy violation, our moderation team will review the relevant communication logs to take appropriate action, which may include content deletion or immediate account termination.

  4. Children Under 13. The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under 13 (or under the equivalent minimum age in the user’s jurisdiction — for example, 16 in much of the EEA and the UK, and 14 in Quebec for certain processing under Law 25).  If you are under 13, please do not attempt to use the app or send any personal information or messages to us or other users. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable minimum age without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or legal guardians who believe a child has provided us with personal information may contact us at hello@gotinery.com.

  1. Sharing. We may share personal information with our service providers, travel and booking partners, analytics and advertising partners, social media platforms and third-party integrations and authorities as required or permitted by applicable law. We share your information with service providers that help operate our platform. This includes third-party communication service providers (such as chat infrastructure SDKs) to process and deliver your Direct Messages and group chats safely. These providers are contractually obligated to maintain strict data protection standards that align with this policy.

  1. Third-Party Service Providers. The following third parties process information on our behalf as part of operating the Services. These providers are contractually limited to processing data solely for the purposes described:

Apple Inc. (StoreKit) — processes in-app subscription transactions on iOS. Apple receives your Apple ID and payment details directly; we do not see or store your payment information. See apple.com/legal/privacy for details.

RevenueCat, Inc. — manages subscription state and entitlements. RevenueCat receives your unique user ID and purchase events from Apple. See revenuecat.com/privacy for details.

Supabase, Inc. — provides our secure backend (authentication, database, server-side functions). Account information, user content, search history and other data described above are stored in Supabase. See supabase.com/privacy for details.

Perplexity AI, Inc. — generates AI-assisted trip itineraries when you request them. See the “Artificial Intelligence Features” section below for details on what is shared with Perplexity AI and how to control it.

Google LLC (Google Places API) — provides destination, point-of-interest and place-search results. The destination or query you enter, plus general device information, is sent to Google to retrieve results. See policies.google.com/privacy for details.

Crash and analytics providers — if and when enabled, we may use providers such as Sentry or PostHog for crash reporting and aggregated product analytics. These providers receive non-identifying technical and usage information.

  1. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and we do not share it with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  1. . Artificial Intelligence Features. Tinery offers AI-assisted itinerary generation. To provide this feature, we share certain trip details — such as your selected destination(s), dates, traveler count, interests, dietary preferences, and accessibility preferences — with our third-party AI provider, Perplexity AI, Inc. We do not send your name, email, postal address, payment information, precise location, or other directly identifying information to the AI provider. Perplexity AI processes the data to generate itinerary recommendations and, per its agreement with us, does not retain the data for model training beyond the request lifecycle.

  2. Your Choices Around AI. You will see an in-app consent prompt the first time you use AI-assisted itinerary generation, in line with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.2(i). You can decline the prompt and create itineraries manually, and you can turn AI features on or off at any time from Settings > Privacy > AI Features. You can also delete AI-generated trips at any time.

  3. . In-App Purchases and Subscriptions. TINERY offers an auto-renewing subscription, billed through your Apple ID via Apple StoreKit. Your payment is processed by Apple — TINERY does not receive or store your credit-card or banking information. We receive only the subscription status, plan, renewal date and a transaction identifier (via RevenueCat). You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings > Subscriptions, and you can use the Restore Purchases option in the TINERY app to recover an active subscription on a new device.

  4. . Retention. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes discussed in this document or to meet our legal or business requirements.

  5. . Security. We take all reasonable and industry standard precautions to ensure that your personal information is kept safe from loss, unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. We require all employees and third parties that have access to personal information to sign a confidentiality agreement.

  6. . Cookies. Like other businesses, we may use cookies, clear gifs and otherwise collect information through our Services.

  7. . Analytics and Diagnostics. We use diagnostics tools to receive crash reports and aggregated performance metrics so that we can fix bugs and improve reliability. These reports are sent automatically by your device and contain technical information such as device model, OS version, app version and the conditions under which a crash occurred. We do not link this diagnostic data to your account.

  8. . Tracking Technologies and Do-Not-Track. The TINERY iOS app does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies, apps or websites for advertising purposes. iOS App Tracking Transparency therefore does not apply, and we honour “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signals where they are received.

  9. . Push Notifications. With your permission, we may send push notifications related to your trips (e.g., itinerary reminders) and important service announcements. iOS will ask you to authorize notifications the first time we request them, and you can revoke that permission at any time in iPhone Settings > Notifications > TINERY.

Information Access, Corrections & More

Information Access, Corrections & More

  1. . Updating Your Information. Please notify us if any of your information changes. If you can establish that such information is not accurate, complete and up-to-date, we will take reasonable steps to correct it.

  2. . Account Deletion. You can permanently delete your TINERY account and the personal information associated with it from inside the app at any time, via Settings > Account > Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your account record, trips, itineraries, preferences, search history and other personal information from our active systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (e.g., transaction logs for tax or anti-fraud purposes), in which case the data is retained only for that purpose and is otherwise restricted from access. If you used Sign in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes the associated Apple identity tokens. Subscription cancellation is handled separately by Apple — to fully stop billing, please also cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.

  3. . Accessing Your Information. You may ask for access to any personal information we hold about you and we will provide you with same within 30 days, if possible. We may deny access to your personal information when required or authorized by law, information relates to existing or anticipated legal proceedings against you or when granting you access would have an unreasonable effect on other people’s privacy. If we deny your request for access or refuse a request to correct information we will explain why.

  4. Your Privacy Rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. We honour these rights for all users to the extent that we are able:

    (a) Right of access — to ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.

    (b) Right of correction or rectification — to ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

    (c) Right of erasure (deletion) — to ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions. The fastest way to exercise this right is via the in-app Account Deletion described above.

    (d) Right to portability — to receive your personal information in a portable, machine-readable format.

    (e) Right to object or restrict — to object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context advertising (we do not engage in such activities).

    (f) Right to withdraw consent — to withdraw consent you have previously provided, including consent for AI features.

By using the Services, you understand that your personal information may be transferred to, stored in and processed in those countries, and in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
